Board Member Bios

Erin Bayer

When Erin is not working as the information systems director for Data Recognition Corporation, she and her husband Grant and children Carlee and Reed spend the majority of their time with horses. They compete at barrel races, train horses, breed and raise foals, and each year they take a trip to South Dakota for trail riding. Chloe’s story inspired Erin to get involved to show people that there is good, love and support in our community. She knows she cannot personally change someones diagnosis, but she can try to make them smile for a day or even a minute by showing love and compassion for what they are going through. “Chloe endured a lot of bad times in her life, but she chose to not let it define her.”

 

Jeanine Clapsaddle

Jeanine Clapsaddle serves as the assistant manager for the Department of Children’s and Women’s Services at Arnold Palmer Hospital. As a certified child life specialist, she has seen firsthand the power of honoring a child’s extraordinary efforts to accomplish important goals in their healthcare experience. Whether that’s meeting a difficult milestone in the rehabilitation process, successfully navigating a painful surgery, or completing treatment for a life-impacting illness, she knows the impact of offering a trophy to help a child find meaning and courage in their own story. In her free time, Jeanine and her partner enjoy spending time with their dogs, and traveling and experiencing the world.

 

Lori Ellingson

Lori Ellingson is a pediatric oncology nurse at Children’s Hospital & Clinics of Minnesota where she has worked there for over 27 years. Lori was Chloe’s primary oncology nurse throughout her treatment. When she’s not working, she enjoys reading, running and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband reside in Maple Grove, Minnesota and have two boys, ages 14 and 16, whose activities and sports keep everyone busy. “I was honored when asked to be involved with Chloe’s Courage Fund—it was absolute joy to know her!”

 

Bridger Fruth

Bridger Fruth is Chloe’s younger brother. He was 12 years old when Chloe passed away. He looked up to her as the older sister that found success in everything she did. “She just excelled and overcame a lot.” Bridger is a recent graduate from Saint Cloud State University. As a multi-instrumentalist, he has an immense and scholarly passion for music and the performing arts. He’s eager to be a part of making Chloe’s dream of Chloe’s Courage Fund becoming a national initiative come true.

 

Pat Fruth

Pat Fruth is, first and foremost, Chloe and Bridger’s dad. He is the owner of Pat Fruth Trucking and Hoof Haulers Trailer Sales and Service. Pat is proud of Chloe’s positive attitude and the impact she had on others in her lifetime. “Chloe was a sweetheart and I’m so glad we are at a point where we can make her dream come true.”

 

Staci Fruth

Staci Fruth serves as the chief operating officer of Pat Fruth Trucking and Hoof Haulers Trailer Sales and Service. Being Chloe and Bridger’s mom has been the most important role of her lifetime. Staci feels that fulfilling Chloe’s dream and being a part of her legacy of giving to others is her honor and duty as her mother. “As a parent, when you lose a child, one of the most impactful things people can do is to remember and talk about your child and the impact their life has had on others. Our family is incredibly grateful to this board and our donors for honoring our Chloe.”

 

Kyla Henkemeyer

Kyla Henkemeyer is a high school student who resides in Clear Lake, Minnesota. She enjoys playing sports, including swimming and softball, and loves to spend time with family and her animals—a horse, a goat and a dog. Chloe was Kyla’s cousin and inspired Kyla every day through giving back to the community and celebrating courage and bravery in the face of a life-threatening illness. Kyla is following Chloe’s example of by serving on the board of directors for the organization she created. “This charity gives a unique gift to everyone it reaches so I would like to help it grow to affect more people for the better and help Chloe’s dream come true.”

 

Bruce Krabbenhoft

Bruce Krabbenhoft is a retired farmer that resides in Park Rapids, Minnesota. He spends most of his time on hobbies, training his horses and barrel racing. He and Chloe were barrel racing friends and Bruce was inspired to help support Chloe’s Courage Fund as a board member.

 

Lisa Palm

Lisa Palm met Chloe when she started working with the Fruth family at Pat Fruth Trucking. She knew from the first time they met that Chloe was an extraordinary young lady. Today, Lisa is honored to serve on the board of directors for Chloe’s Courage Fund. In her free time, Lisa enjoys enjoy hiking with her family, gardening, cross stitching and reading. She lives in Sartell, Minnesota with her daughter, her son and two cats.
